I have an LG monitor with a calibration function. I calibrated it using the LG Calibration Studio and the SpyderX calibrator, setting the color gamut to Adobe RGB 1998. The colors seem fine now, but when I opened a file in Photoshop, it appeared as if there was a transparent blue layer over the image.
In the ‘View’ menu, I checked ‘Proof Colors’ and changed the proof setup to a custom device profile that simulates the color profile I created during the previous calibration. The colors are now correct once again.
Did I follow the correct steps? Can I trust that the colors I am seeing are accurate? Also, I’ve noticed that I need to toggle the ‘Proof Colors’ option every time I open a new file. With my previous Dell monitor, calibrated using the SpyderX software, this never happened. This discrepancy is leaving me somewhat confused.
I would appreciate it if you could provide some guidance. Thank you.
