I’m not trying to poor shame, but harbor freight has never been known to have ultra precision tools. And there are some shops I have worked at that the bosses think mitutoyo is the same as harbor freight because all they see is dollar signs
I’ve used harbor freight stuff for years. If you don’t need ultra precision, and you don’t for dismemberment, then saving that cash can go to other tools.
When you have 800 dollars and .125 of slop on the apron doesn’t matter.
I used a Harbor Freight milling machine for awhile. It had no issue holding 0.006 inch tolerance.
Did you mod it in any way? I’ve seen artisan makes on YouTube soup up his harbor freight mill
I didn’t mod it, I just built a really sturdy table to put it on.
