Hello everyone. I’ve been wanting to buy rewritable dvd’s for a while now. I first looked at cd-r, but they can only store 700mb. DVD+R seems to have enough storage for a very long string of episodes of my favorite series.
I have the MP4 files of the show i want. It is one big MP4 file. How do I get this mp4 file on to the dvd while making it readable by the dvd player?
We have some burned disks around my house (cd-r most of them are i think) that play just fine. Opening the files shows a weird formatting scheme (files are split to 1gb each). I’ve seen a reddit post from 9 years ago saying to use imgburn, but have no idea if that’s still a viable option.
If you’re wondering why I don’t just use a laptop or something easier, I found this dvd player in storage and fixed it (there was a disk stuck in it) and my sister needs something to watch until she’s able to get (usable) internet at her new house.
Yes, I am aware that DVD+R cannot be written to more than once.
There are DVD+R disks at my local Walmart. It’s $9 (usd) and comes with 9 disks that are 4.7gb each.
I’ve never burnt DVDs before, especially not pirated content on to them.
TL;DR
How do i burn an mp4 file from my computer to a DVD+R, while still letting it be read by a DVD player?
