Me looking back at those people:
Me making my next post:
Me lurking outside these posts and waiting for my moment to reply to someone else’s reply:
Me jerking someone off down in the comments of your next post:
Someone is looking at my posts?
That one random downvote on an otherwise innocuous comment:
LOL that worked

She’s a monster until she isn’t. But don’t fret, she’ll be a monster again next week on “little traumas on the prairie”
I remember her and her daughter, terrible people and more drama in an overly dramatic show.

Imagine their face once they manage to see the porn I consume
Here’s the best way to get that reaction on Lemmy.
Windows is better than Linux. You can game easier, Install older programs easier, you most likely won’t have any issues or have security issues like the Linux crowd says you will. It has amazing built in antivirus and compatibility with tons of hardware. Etc
On Reddit, it was always saying that I prefer manual transmission over automatic that made people very, very angry. I never have understood that one except to think that some people takes it as a personal insult.
You could also say that lowering taxes on the rich is the best way to improve the economy.
I know I’d give it that reaction.
Well that’s just dumb though. Windows is actually good 👍. The strange point you’re trying to prove is basically proving my point.
Windows is actually good
It really isn’t.
Me looking through these comments to see if there’s any names that I look at like this
Ha, jokes on them, I don’t make posts.
Yeah, the motherfuckers who downvote for whatever reason. 😤
Occasionally, someone goes through my post history and downvotes every post. I’d love to know who it is just so I can thank them for the amusement.
You care about downvotes?
I guess they are a signal of disapproval, but its better to be honest and say what you think then to try and get liked in every post.
To be fair, it could have a negative impact on whether or not new users or lurkers get involved.
It can inhibit participation. A lot of people automatically downvote anyone with a negative score and upvote anyone with a positive score because of the peer pressure or something. It’s how the brigading and triple digit downvotes often get started.
It’s actually funny though. I said my fair share of generally downvoted stuff, but most of my replies that weren’t completely overlooked end up with something between 10 and 100 likes as well as exactly 1 dislike.
I’m in this photo and I don’t like it
Find you a girl who looks at you like this.
Up to 80% of the plot lines in that show were just Mrs. Olson being a bitch.
This is how I do it.
You can’t please everyone, the upvotes speak for themselves though - don’t let downvotes get you down too hard
