Gen Z: nostalgic for the late-80s/90s/early-00s because that’s when there was still some hope in the world. Gen alpha: not old enough yet to be nostalgic (but will probably be nostalgic for the pre-trump/pre-covid days of the US).

Gen z are all about the retro stuff they didn’t grow up with
Millennials: nostalgic for the late-80s/90s/early-00s because that’s when they were growing up.

I read that as Gen X. Gen Z makes no sense.
