    Vote here for Archimedes

Archimedes from Sword in the Stone

Archimedes surprised everyone as a walk on to the semi finals. With a surprising upset he beat all comers in points gained. Let’s see if this pint sized prodigy can secure a victory here in the finals.

Archimedes is known for being somewhat grouchy and sarcastic, especially in the morning. He also has a pompous streak, and is easily offended. Though he is loyal to Merlin, he is not afraid to point out the Wizard’s shortcomings and often does. He is, however, very well educated, and possesses a great deal of practical knowledge. Though at first he is haughty and dismissive to Arthur, he slowly warms to him as he helps Merlin educate him, and eventually becomes a devoted and loyal friend, even staying by his side after Merlin blows himself to Bermuda.

Archy just embodies all I love about owl attitude. I can appreciate Owl’s efforts to educate and be a moral compass, but Archimedes just has what I want from an owl as an adult.

Ironically enough, Junius Matthews was not only the voice (and amazing laugh) for Archimedes, but also the voice of Rabbit alongside ol’ Owl here, below… One might even say that a vote for Archimedes is a fully justified stroke in the right direction for the legendary, familial fued between the stuffy know-it-all and the crotchety gardener of my heart. 🥰

        Archimedes FTW!

    Vote here for Owl

    Owl from Winnie the Pooh

Owl came into the finals with a solid lead. As a traditional pick, he thought he would be able to just strut into the big win. He didn’t see Archimedes flapping along behind slowly catching up. How will he do today? No one knows.

Like Rabbit, Owl is traditionally portrayed as a real animal, as opposed to a stuffed toy belonging to Christopher Robin (regardless, he has been depicted as a stuffed owl in Christopher’s room in several films). Despite not always being portrayed as one of Christopher Robin’s toys, Owl is one of his fondest friends. He often acts as Christopher’s eyes and ears in the Hundred Acre Woods; his considerable maturity and ability to fly makes him a crucial part of solving problems throughout the forest, though he can occasionally overlook this fact due to his minimal intelligence.

My family quotes Owl all the time whenever something’s going wrong we say:

“Looks like that bear is gumming up the whole project”

“Dash it all! He is the project!”
