minus-squareGork@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up24·1 year agoIt is played so much that it is little wonder people have declared War on Christmas.
minus-squareMoobythegoldensock@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up10·1 year agoThere are a lot of bad one off Christmas songs, but Wonderful Christmastime is the worst one that still gets played every year. And before anyone says it: All I Want for Christmas Is You is the most overplayed, but not the worst. And Christmas Wrapping is the most underrated.
minus-squareViking_Hippie@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5arrow-down1·1 year agoBest is Queen’s Thank God It’s Christmas. I’m an atheist who considers Christmas way more stress than it’s worth, but I love that song!
minus-squaregrue@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year ago And Christmas Wrapping is the most underrated. So underrated that I’ve barely ever heard it before and had to go look it up to know what you were talking about. (I would’ve said “literally never heard it before,” but the riff in the chorus is ever so slightly familiar.)
minus-squareSpat_U_Later@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoI’m so torn on this comment, because Christmas Wrapping is great, but so is Wonderful Christmastime.
minus-squareouRKaoS@lemmy.todaylinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoI would like to counter with I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. That shit is rage inducing
minus-squareMermaidsGarden@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up10·1 year agoAs a diehard Paul fan I’ll defend Wonderful Christmastime every year. At least it’s not Christmas Time (Is Here Again). Bleh.
minus-squareharmsy@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up12arrow-down3·1 year agoI have yet to hear a version that’s good. The original literally gave me a nightmare when I first heard it.

minus-squaremeant2live218@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·1 year agoThanks! I’ve never heard this version before, but I find it way more listenable than the original.

minus-squareGustavoM@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 year agoNah, best we do is to listen to depressing songs and talk about toxicity-related subjects for all day long. - The average simpleton.
minus-squareDandroid@dandroid.applinkfedilinkarrow-up3·1 year agoThere are other renditions of the song that I think are fine, but the original makes me want to burst my eardrums. That synth it’s so grating.

This version sounds kinda goofy.

Too much of a good thing.
