I’m a loner, and when I’m at my house I usually get most of the day to myself. I prefer it this way, as it means I’m not exhausted throughout the day and I don’t have to interact with a bunch of people all the time.

My cousin, however, is the exact opposite. He always has to talk to people, play with people, etc. He’s barely been here a day and so far I’ve only had 2 hours alone, and that’s because my brother was playing with him and my cousin was asleep until late morning. He’s made me play with him all day, and even though I’ve been visibly tired and out of it the entire time, he doesn’t seem to notice or care.

I love him a lot, he’s a sweet boy. But I can only handle him at family gatherings, not for this long at home. I usually can handle playing with him at family gatherings because it’s only for a couple of hours before I can go home and relax, but when I’m being constantly bothered and forced to do things in my own home, it’s making me so frustrated. We had picked him up from the family gathering we had yesterday (Sunday), so I already had to play with him for hours before bringing him home. On top of that, I had shitty stomach pain last night and couldn’t sleep very well, so I’m even more tired than on a normal day. I just want to relax and have time to myself instead of having everything be dictated by my cousin. He’s controlled everything today because if he doesn’t get his way he’ll cry and complain. I don’t think I can survive until Wednesday.

Edit because I posted this without mentioning it: another thing about this is that he hates cats, and all of them have been hiding since he got here. My littlest cat, Luna, is usually my shadow and follows me everywhere, but I’ve barely seen her today because she doesn’t like my cousin. She’s my comfort animal, so not seeing her has stressed me out more than I should be.
