The irony of r/coys having a “Fuck Matty Cash”thread when they’ve had a dirty squad for years.

I think people are misunderstanding the Spurs squad situation as an injury crisis. Yes there are a lot of players out, but it’s not the number of players, it’s the specific players and the lack of depth behind them.

Even with players healthy, we would be bound to struggle without VdV and Maddison. Those two have been transformative signings in areas of weakness we’ve had for years.

Although the current CB situation is shambolic, us Spurs fans knew this could happen based on the status of the squad after the summer window.

Why are Spurs fans crying about injuries? There are so many teams this season that had to cope with an injury crisis this season. Maybe if Romero & Bissouma weren’t ill-disciplined their bench would have options.

Don’t worry Spurs, in times like these you may borrow a phrase which has given us strength on many a cold point-less night: next year is our year!

I mean we said that at the start, and then got our hopes up, and then injuries brought us to our knees like we expected if any injuries occurred. And now here we are

The amount of Spurs fans wishing Matty Cash serious injury and even cancer in their sub is disturbing but not surprising. Just spent 10 minutes reporting 30+ accounts for threatening violence. 1 ban already came through, hopefully many more.

Especially when it was such a nothing tackle. He was late and it was a foul but hardly malicious.

He’s a dirty player that has injured a number of players. Of course he’s hated.

The cancer thing is beyond childish but I don’t think redditors have that ability.

Seeing a lot of people in this thread who didn’t actually watch the game and are just judging by scoreline. Spurs played really well and were unlucky with Son netting an offside hattrick, realistically this should have been a cruisy win for them. People trying to say Ange is washed and Spurs have been found out are absolutely hilarious, their tactics are still working, they just need to address the defensive issues and take their chances better and they’ll be dominant again, this is all from a Chelsea fan.

Spurs fans are crying about injuries as if Villa haven’t had their fair share of injuries this season. The difference is our players learnt to adjust to the manager’s tactics.

Good match to Villa. Honestly thought Spurs played better today & should’ve came away with a point atleast, but credit to Villa for taking their chances and converting them.

Officiating was great. People making a deal about the Cash tackle are being dumb. Standard yellow.

Defense held up well, just need to execute better in the box. This gives me hope for the next few months with VDV out.

What about the elbow in the face on Gil that everyone in the studio thought was a clear pen and red but Var seemed to ignore completely?

Spurs should have been 3 up at half time, but somehow went in level. Don’t think too many teams would deal with the key injuries spurs have. Bit much for people to be writing of Ange
