Perhaps they aren’t killed in the same numbers in Ukraine, but mass kidnapping and relocation to Russia is pretty shit too.
Maybe all war is horrible, and should be used as a very last resort to save civilian lives. Maybe people should just be allowed to live their lives in peace.

I would imagine the genocides in Bosnia or Rwanda were worse… but are they counting that as “modern times”.
For children, surely top 5. Rwanda and Yemen, the USA’s caused deaths in Iraq due to the power vacuum they created are higher though.
