As a life long footy fan from the weakest country of the east asian area (China lol), it makes me jealous to see players like Son and Mitoma shine at the highest level

110 goals for Spurs puts him past Giggs at 11th place for single club PL goals, 10th is Gerrard at 120 goals for Liverpool, then 128 for Fowler.

The problem with Son is that he is irreplaceable. Not only is he a world class finisher, but his popularity is going to be extremely hard for Tottenham to replace. I honestly cannot imagine a post Son Korean national team. He is THE face of Korean football, and he has world class skills to bring the house down. Without him, everything will just be meh.

The RicharliSon connection is becoming more and more common. I’m loving him as a playmaker!

He gets so much hate and has continued to get criticism this year, admittedly he should have a few more goals or at least shots on frame he’s put out of play, but Richardson has 1 goal and 3 assists this season. He had 1 goal and 3 assists all last season, so he’s definitely improving.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think there’s a lot of recency bias from last season that carries over in the discussion surrounding Richarlison’s performances this season, there is still room for him to improve for sure, but he’s come a long way from last season. His link-up play with Son has been really good, and if his finishing takes that extra step forward I think the narrative surrounding him could change drastically.
