What’s even considered a Nazi nowadays? Just someone who disagrees with your opinions? The term has become absolutely meaningless, completely stripped of its historical baggage.

Someone espousing almost identical politcal views to the Nazi party usually fits the bill. I haven’t seen anyone striping it of its historical baggage here except for your dumbass.

Oh, there are plenty of people trying to “strip it of its historical baggage”… or eventually they fall back to “Nazis are fine as long as they fight for us”:

        Others disagree:

PS: the sad thing is, one has to post this with a bunch of links, or risk getting called a tankie… and it can still get modded away.

I’ve heard Israeli call Hamas Nazis, Russians call Ukrainians Nazis, Ukrainians call Russians Nazis, random political figures calling other equally random political figures Nazis… Now I’m sure it’s sometimes called for, as you said, neo-nazism, for whatever reason, is a thing. I feel like it’s the same crap as calling any idea a tad on the left “commie” or “tankie”. It’s not a valid criticism to put everything under a blanket term, I would much prefer that people put reasoned arguments before irrational name-calling. But sadly politics is all about appeal to emotion, isn’t it? I feel deeply ashamed when I watch political “debates” in my country.
