A few years, and a few realizations, later, here we are lol

If there were less fuss I would have transitioned a lot sooner, but having to abandon your entire family and community to be yourself is kind of a large hurdle.
Being disappointed as a child/adolescent as you accept magic isn’t real because that means you’d never just wake up one day suddenly a girl.
Tbf, I don’t think I thought it was a normal thought - it certainly wasn’t something I was about to tell others. I just thought my wish was impossible, so might as well just bury it. I didn’t know trans people existed or how medical transitioning worked.
But magic is real! We call it technology and we can use it transform our secondary sex characteristics
Agreed. But young me didn’t get that. Didn’t take long after starting E to internalize that magic is real.

The totally cis discussions with my friends about SCP-113 and how that 25% chance of being “stuck” without the possibility of dying isn’t a big deal, and weirdly obsessing over this single SCP while everyone else quickly went on to the much cooler ones.
I really wish it had a link through at a certain point that says “Hey dummy, if you’re willing/actively want to touch this and aren’t concerned about the consequences, you’re probably trans”. Would have saved me a lot of time and effort…
