I’ll be posting here from now on in case you’d like to continue following my posts ❤️
Will follow. Just curious, why the move?
Not a big fan of LW and .ml so wanted a different instance. And if I’m posting as much as I am it may as well be on an instance I like.
PS. I also ha e comms on sopuli, another instance I like. !aneurysmposting@sopuli.xyz and !antimeme@sopuli.xyz amongst them.
For those not in the know, Islam reads the Koran as saying you can’t depict anything living as it won’t be as perfect as God’s creation, or something along those lines. That’s why their art is geometrical and intricate.
Yeah a lot of calligraphy and patterns etc
Those look awesome, do you know where those buildings are or what what they are named? Would love to see them for real maybe in the future.
I’m sorry I posted this from my gallery and don’t remember exactly.
By memory, the Imam Hussein shrine in Karbala. Although I’m not sure.
Very sorry. I’ll try to find it later.
My guess is The pink mosque in Shiraz, Iran. It’s famous for the use of colors. If visited at the right time of day, the sunlight will filter through colored glass windows to create a kaleidoscope of colors. Check the photos in the wiki article, there are plenty of photos of the inside of you search around.
If you like this kind of architecture, you should absolutely look into Naqsh-e-Jahan square in Isfahan, Iran. It’s an unreal public space that transports you to a different time, truly spectacular and unique architecture.
Thank you!
