The Caucasus or Caucasia is a region spanning Eastern Europe and Western Asia, situated between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.

Why are all white people called “Caucasians?” I don’t even need to do any research to confidently say that the majority of white people on the planet have no affiliation or heritage links with that place whatsoever.

Granted there is an alternate definition for the word “caucus” which is a political word originating in the United states in the 1700s by white men in political gathering discussion groups, so perhaps that’s how it got started. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucus

The term derived from a false mythology of whiteness created by racist pseudo-scientists. Essentially they asserted that all white ppl came from the Caucasus mountains, divinely placed on Earth to commit genocide, enslave other human beings and generally be barbaric assholes. It likely has some narrative connection to some other bullshit myths, but the idea was to create a fairytale story about how all whites share a singular and monolithic, mystical origin blah blah blah. Absolute trash that racist monsters gobbled up to justify their belief that they were (are) superior to everyone else.

Of course, actual science and scientific consensus is that all human beings originated from Africa, the cradle of civilization and birthplace of humanity. That presents a problem for white supremacist Christian nationalist asshats, so they persist in the divorced-from-reality belief of their pretend facts, just like they do with ivermectin, rigged elections, abortion, DEI, trans athletes and every other stupid, destructive, culturally aggressive and asinine thing they make up and convince themselves of in order to dominate and subjugate others.

So yeah, caucasian isn’t a real thing.
