Except that the school would sabotage the student by locking them into “remedial” classes.

There’s a book called ‘Discover What You’re Best At,’ by Linda Gail.

I can’t recommend it enough. Fir years I thought i hated working. Turns out that working a job you’re actually suited for is pretty great.

Comic mostly just demonstrates they have no idea what astrologists do.

If you think astrologists just spend all their time staring into telescopes, then you are mistaken. It’s largely doing a lot of math, running simulations, number crunching, reading papers, etc

You have no place talking about astronomy when you keep calling it astrology.

A lot of people into math developed that interest due to an obsession with some other topic. Trying to grasp the fabric of the universe is a great motivator to getting people into physics.

I think I understand what you mean, it’s super unfortunate people just care about some typo (?). This is why I don’t come to Lemmy for serious discussions anymore.

If it had happened only once it would have been a typo. Multiple times it’s either trolling or a non native speaker. Either way I get what you mean

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
