Roman Reigns as Akuma? Garbage. Not saying that Reigns is garbage, he’s perfectly serviceable as an action star, but Japanese he is not. And if Akuma’s not Japanese then the makers of this movie don’t give one shit about the source material. If we give Scarlett Johansson shit for whitewashing Major Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell, then Reigns as Akuma is a similar problem. What does Hollywood have against casting actual East Asians in East Asian roles?
