Did you click on my audio only posts back when I made those? It seems like people only listen to music if it’s on their Spotify playlist.
Yes, there’s no central software involved. I am using an analog mixer as a DAC for recording with audacity, otherwise everything is coming from my synths directed by a midi sequencer.
I make music with a DAW too, I just find that people like seeing the creation of music when it doesn’t look like a spreadsheet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7thabykiQU
I’m leaning in the whole Techne philosophy of art by doing, if anything just to prove I’m not artifical AI.

Guess I didn’t scroll that far back.

Thanks for the background. I guess that’s considered old school nowadays.
That’s cool, band camp albums are fun to make but unless there’s already a fanbase most people will only listen to the first half of the first song and skip the rest. I have a few things published on bandcamp but not much. I mostly just buy my friend’s albums to support them.

Incidentally I’m just listening to this old school synth band from Perth…
