      So, that’s a pretty unparseable comment as of reading, but I’ll take a wild guess that it translates to “it’s great but people are too woke to appreciate it now”.

      It’s not original, it stopped being kinda true years before 2015, and I’d assume it’s grating to have directed at you over and over again if you are a gurl. It’s just not treating other people with reasonable level of decency. Be better.

        Not too woke, but, for some old timers, you’d just take these old sayings. For me, and many others, its classic internet culture. We were the internet. And everybody deserves decency. Man after all this I guess you could say “too woke” but woke doesn’t or covers too much of what woke meant.

        You understand folks making these statements are old with a lot of life and experience at this point right? Its a simple joke.

        To get my vibe, imagine people calling “all your base are belong to us” offensive to people without homes or ethnically displaced groups.
