I don’t have sources but I think it makes sense logically.
pretty sure most women in a polygamy hate being in them, read more than a few articles about first wives then getting put aside for a younger model but they can’t leave because no money (based islam 🙄)
That’s most probably true for normal cases. I’m thinking of cases where women like other women. So they don’t want to be intimate with their husband anyway. So him losing interest would work great. So it’d be akin to living with a group of girls and an annoying guy who owns the place. Again I’m just making assumptions.

But the probability you get wed to a guy who sets you aside because bored and then marries your girlfriend out of pure respect to you is very low.
I’m not sure “women can’t leave dysfunction relationship because they won’t have income” is a problem unique to Islam.
