I’ve been a long-time fan of the Harveste Addams series by Kyaru-chan and have read it multiple times over the years.
For those unfamiliar: it’s a dark, twisted crossover where young Harry is adopted by the Addams Family after murdering the Dursleys.
The tone is very Gothic, with a strong emphasis on macabre humor, unconventional morality, and Addams-style weirdness.
It’s not just a surface-level crossover — the Addamses actually shape Harry’s entire personality, magical development, and worldview in deeply compelling (and disturbing) ways.
That said: Are there any other Harry Potter fanfics with a similar tone, theme, or crossover idea — especially ones that involve the Addams Family?
It doesn’t even need to be CanonHarry, it could be a FemHarry!, or an OC character altogether.
What I’m especially looking for:
° Addams Family crossovers (bonus if Harry is adopted by or raised among them)
° Dark or gothic reinterpretations of Harry’s upbringing
° Fics where Harry embraces the weird, the creepy, outright Dark or morally grey paths
° Unique mentor/adoption fics that explore dark humor and found family dynamics
• Gothic aesthetic, dark comedy, or horror-leaning reinterpretations of the Wizarding World
Completed or decently long WIPs are a plus
Bonus points if:
It’s on AO3 or FFN
The Addamses are well-written and in character (not just props for Harry’s edge)
There’s decent writing quality — doesn’t have to be professional, but not pure crack or completely unedited.
To clarify: I already know about the Harveste Addams series itself — I’m looking for similar or spiritually adjacent works, whether or not they’re direct Addams crossovers.
