I wonder, just as a thought exercise, what would happen if they ended up decertifying the election. I would presume some do-over eventually, if anyone could trust the system any more, but in the meantime do you just rewind the last couple months and decide it didn’t happen?
it’s unprecedented, so I don’t think they would unwind anything done by the current admin. If a new election takes place, whoever wins the election would pick up the pieces where they lie. I could also see the Trump admin just accelerating their fascist coup to prevent an election from taking place.
While I doubt that would happen, my guess is either nothing happens, ot DJT is removed and the next successor (Vance) takes his place. I can’t imagine them doing a new election for any reason without a new amendment.
