      High speed rail would make such a difference. If you tried to make the same trip as pictured with Amtrak, you’d probably be looking at double the travel time at least.

        25 hours from what I can tell. And you can’t take the full trip with Amtrak or at least they don’t give an itinerary for it. You have to take a bus somewhere to hit the train.

          And due to how Amtrak’s scheduling works (because freight rail is prioritized over everyone else), you’re likely getting that train at a bad time days before the game. If I wanted to catch a train from my home to Chicago, my only option is Thursday at 4AM. Outside the Northeast, you’re lucky to get one passenger train a week from your major metro, if at all.

            Then people see this and go “see no one uses the train so why should my tax dollars go to fund it”

            Imagine if we let drivers have 1 day per week to use the highway, suddenly they might not think their taxs are worth it for the service they are getting.
