Accepting the plane, Pence said in an interview with Meet the Press, “is inconsistent with our security, with our intelligence needs. And my hope is the president reconsiders it.”

Just another example of how our Constitution has been re-purposed for a felon rapist to wipe his ass with.

But seriously. Our Constitution is null and void at this point and nothing is being done about that. I guess Americans just aren’t ready to accept that fact yet.

    And the downward spiral continues.

Wasn’t the constitution intended to be rewritten every X years to keep up with modern society, I seem to remember having read that in the past…

It wasn’t “intended to be rewritten,” but it was meant to be changed.

Your wording makes it seem like we should scrap the whole thing and start from scratch after X years.

Instead, we should be making amendments to the constitution, such as “no citizen shall possess more than Y amount in assets while children go hungry. Any excessive assets will be seized immediately and redistributed to those most in need.”

So what will happen with the billions we have already spent ordering 2 air force ones from Boeing?

This shit will cost us so much money cause now we have to do a complete overhaul of this new plane.

Some fucking numskull behavior if you ask me

    is inconsistent with our security

Seems pretty in line with the Trump administration’s security. It’s not good security, but it is consistent.

It’s coming with free surveillance! For an adversary.

And of course is entirely, completely, factually against the US constitution. But hey that hasn’t stopped this administration yet…

It is made by Boeing, anyone can verify whether it is bugged or not, and Qatar isn’t an adversary. It has a population of 3.6 million, only 19% are citizens, and one of the US’s largest military bases in the region.

Anyone cannot verify if every single inch of the plane is bug free. Just because the frame is Boeing isn’t the only factor.

And Qatar has close connections with US adversaries such as Iran.

If connections with Iran makes a country an adversary what does that say about the EU? Qatar has relations with Iran because of geographical necessity and due to the Saudi-led Arab embargo which cut off food exports to Qatar forcing them to trade more with Iran.

Yes, it is. And Boeing is already building the two new ones Trump renegotiated the deal for back during his first term. I’ve been wondering this the entire time since there are two planes that swap when in maintenance.

The plane is clearly meant for Trump alone.

You’re being pedantic. You know that’s not what they were referring to.

The “Air Force One” that people recognize, the VC-25A (military equivalent of the 747-200B), is actually two airframes that swap back and forth as they need maintenance. Because the maintenance intervals on those jets can take months to perform fully and the need for a dedicated plane that can fully support the President is constant. The new variant being products is the VC-25B, based on the much more modern (but still 20-year old design) 747-8I.

Reading the comments, I’m reminded that whether an Arab country is allied to the US or not, whether it is even subservient to the US or not, matters not. Arab countries will always be seen as adversaries and nefarious.
