How many years has it been? I still can’t get over it that some people started using reddit after the redesign, and they like it.
2018, it’s been seven years of redirecting to old.reddit.com (well, 2 years of redirecting hundreds of pages a day and 5 years of redirecting a page or 2 per week when they show up in search results.)
“People have said they’ll leave Reddit if we kill old Reddit. We believe them. It scares us.”
If search brings up a reddit site, I’m sure to switch it to old.
I use it sometimes because the app sucks and there is a trove of old posts containing valuable discussions. Old lets you access everything without logging in, including the dtuff they marked as “adult” content.
It annoys the heck out of me that you now see the activity notification in the legacy ui.
But don’t you want to know that you got a new achievement! Considering using a custom style to hide it myself.
