I don’t feel safe around firearms for reasons. A hunting bow for self defense seems ineffective.

Are there otherways to defend my home?

The sword or the explosive? Or the explosive mounted at the end of a sword? Or a sword in front of the explosive?

I get it. Frankly I didn’t want to get firearms. But the way things are going, I went to classes and practiced gun safety to the best of my ability. I just decided that it’s better to have one and not need it. Than to not have one and need it. Especially if I trust myself with being responsible.

Crossbow would be better than a bow I feel. You can load your shot preemptively, like a gun, but it isn’t a gun.

bows are very effective, especially if you get some sharp arrows + you get an element of surprise, people don’t exactly expect to be shot with an arrow
