This seems like more of a trailer than a teaser. I’m not complaining. I’m actually unimpressed by “teaser trailers” that are just a logo or some words on the screen. It’s nice to see some actual scenes from the movie for a change.

So all previous Predators are either balding. Or shave their heads like samurai…

It’s this reaction for me for pretty much every trailer these days. Am I out of touch? No, no it’s the kids who are wrong.

It’s definitely the children. Movies these days suck. Prey is one very notable exception.

Like, what will pop culture references look like in 10-20 years? What content has been so memorable and impactful on society in the last 10 years that it will be worth referencing, or that audiences of the future will even remember?

(I am optimistic for this, but the fucking dreadhawk is a huge red flag)

Check out The Promised Land (2023) with Mads Mikkelsen. It’s gut-punch tour de force, and it will stay with you long after you are done watching.

I feel like every movie trailer has had the same sound font for like, well over ten years now.

tldr; the handful of sounds/ instrument sounds used.

that’s how I think of it anyway. Kind of a more antiquated MIDI term for saved lists of what samples/hardware get triggered by the composition data. One example is the roland MT-32 with dos games. You could hear a games music through the device but change each instrument. Even make it all drums if you want etc. Then you could save those choices as soundfonts.
