It’s very validating to see people finding things that are not “traditionally” calming as calming. Really does prove to each their own, different people are different. I always need to have a goal, but “it’s the journey not the destination”. I need a destination to give me a journey, and the process of getting there can be very soothing. I can intentionally choose destinations such that the path to get there will be soothing, like knitting or any video game that does not frustrate me. I am really not good at journeys with no destination in mind, even if the main point is to have a journey, I need to have some goal to pursue first (even if I create it myself… easier done in some games like Minecraft than others).

“it’s the journey not the destination”
A cliche by this point, but it is so true. :)
