I love that season 3 didn’t really give answers but instead made us fans have more questions, really impressive to come back and not wrap everything up unlike most other revivals

As weird as it may be, I’ve never seen an episode and I know absolutely nothing about this show. (Beyond that it was popular.) Would it hold up today if I watched it?

No real reason I didn’t watch the show. I just think when it was on network television I was at an age where I had a night life that didn’t revolve around a weekly serial show. And this didn’t seem like a show I could just jump into all willy nilly.

Are you familiar with any of David Lynchs other works? If you are then you will love twin peaks. If not, the. You have to remember that when it was made it was satirizing soap operas on TV.

But the show has an odd style that has been emulated a lot in newer media. The story will have you hooked, the mystery will keep you coming back. But the characters and acting might be a bit of a unique taste.

Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway were fun fever dreams that stuck with me for a long time. But I did enjoy them.

I’ll try it out I guess. I see it’s streaming on one of my services so no excuses now I guess.

I’m with you on this. Also I have often shunned many things that attract a lot of hype. I recently watched a few episodes of The Sopranos for the first time, and gave up. Back when The X Files was on TV I watched a few but like yourself I was busy doing other things. I have never watched a single minute of “Lost”, I’m considering giving it a go in the near future though.

I watch plenty of movies and series these days and I too wonder if Twin Peaks would hold up.

I definitely think it holds up, although i watched it for the first time in the early 2000s so I might have nostalgia factor, i rewatched the whole series recently and very much enjoyed it. Lost on the other hand doesn’t hold up imo. Feels totally unplanned and aimless in comparison like they were trying to do the strange mystery vibe of twin peaks without anythjng being thought through beforehand and just writing by the seat of their pants the whole time. Twin peaks is a vibe too where lost is just glossy and overproduced.

Hmmmm, thanks for your great answer. Well I’m now even wondering if I’ll ever bother with Lost.

It sounds like I should invest some time into Twin Peaks then. I imagine that I’ll be able to decide if it’s for me after a few episodes.

I would give it at least 3 or 4 for the characters to be introduced and the mysteries to start developing, as well as to familiarize yourself with the tone and pacing, its a very unique show. Id say after 4 episodes you’ll either be hooked or you won’t though.

Thanks. I’ll definitely give it a try. I currently have “The Blacklist” on pause after a few seasons, I sometimes watch a couple of episodes of “Eureka” for some lighthearted entertainment, it’s a bit silly. Also I have recently been watching “Justified” and it’s going ok but not really grabbing me. “The Americans” has surprised me and kept me hooked, but yeah I’m looking for something more “quirky” I suppose.

Oh I just finished the third season of “The White Lotus” and I’m really not sure what the purpose of those shows were to be honest.

I love eureka. Warehouse 13 is great too if you havent seen it. Also buffy and the new (old) doctor who give me similar vibes. Oh and a show called reaper from the early 2000s. I kinda miss wheb tv was more lighthearted and fun

Thanks, I’m getting some great recs from you. I did watch one or two of Warehouse 13 back in the day, unsure why I stopped.
