Democrats are not left to center. They are right to far right by most standards outside the US. They don’t hate MAGA, they are divided over MAGA as can be seen both with them partly embracing MAGA policies under Biden and now partly aiding the Republican administration to realize more MAGA policies by voting with them. Many of them even share the same targets for authoritarian attacks like Bidens attacks on Columbia University students and staff that now is expanded on by the new Republican Administration. People warned this would happen. Democrats knew this would happen. They want this to happen.
