Andrew has been working on the piefed API for a long time and now we see its benefits! It’s very close, and later we will see it being deployed to piefed.social and other instances.

The API will be very similar to lemmy’s, so lemmy clients and apps will work with mild modification!

Excited for Photon with piefed :D

That’s so cool!! I’m tempted to make a piefed account so I can try it out but I’m not familiar with either of those instances… Both look like small personal instances managed by one guy

Just confirmed that preferred.social is an actual instance, you can sign up and use it as your main. Go wild!

pythag.net is a test and no signups instance, but on preferred.social you can make an account and test it out. I have no idea if it is not a test instance but i messaged the maintainer (who maintains both btw, and is a main piefed developer) and i’m waiting for the reply. In a couple of weeks the API will also be deployed to the main piefed instance so if you are dedicated to using piefed, wait for that.

I’ll reply to your comment again if he replies to me
