In their initial release of their updated license crap, there was a statement at some point saying something along the lines of “we’ll get the big game companies to pay this fee for some of the developers”, which I’m assuming went over like a lead balloon just as soon as the Nintendo/Sony/MS legal teams recovered from their temporary laughter-induced paralysis.
How did Nintendo play any role in this situation?

This reminds me of when Elong Muskrat tried to bully Apple for more money. And Tim Cook was like, “Let’s take a walk.” and Musky boy folded so fast.
I try to ignore Elon as much as possible, so I hadn’t heard this, but man that’s pretty funny.
I would say Microsoft honestly just for the fact they tried to say MS would have to pay for every gamepass game made in Unity that gets downloaded.
When I heard that either there was gonna be some quick quiet talks or I’d read that MS has bought Unity outright in a few days.
I think it’s still unconfirmed, but the rumors are that some of the big names stepped in to pressure Unity to reverse their decisions.
