My parents do this with my nephew. He has changed his name and they still call him by his female birth name. I’ve tried to tell them, if you don’t understand it, fine, but respect it and deal with it. But old people are just too stubborn. When he came out as trans, the rest of us were like “yeah we figured, congrats!” It was no surprise to anyone who saw him growing up except my parents

“We insist by law that she use the Ladies’ Room.”

As a cis woman who’s straight but not narrow I’d feel totally safe with him in there and realize it wasn’t by choice. But I’m pretty sure the MAGA women aren’t going to be too happy.

And of course it provides the perfect cover for straight men to sneak in, which was probably part of the plan.

Meanwhile the transwomen are in danger of assault if they use the Men’s Room as legally mandated.

And of course we’re all female now…

    Thanks a lot, Queen Donald.

The endgame for transgender people is to be damned coming and going. They’ll be targeted for harassment in either restroom by reactionaries who want to inflict pain on them.

The only response has to be community defense. If you see a trans-person in a restroom being harassed, stand up for them. If you see a MAGA person agitating against a trans-person, shame them and shut them up. Stand up for your comrades anywhere and everywhere.

Absolutely. Use my old white lady privilege as a bludgeon. Come to think, I need a bigger heavier purse in case an actual bludgeon is required.

One of the funniest things you could do (from my perspective as an outsider) is reach out, invite them for lunch somewhere public, and ask them loudly every time they misgender you why they’re doing that. After all, you’re clearly not what they’re calling you, and one of the best ways to make bigots change is bludgeoning them repeatedly with shame.

Either way, sucks to hear your parents are dipshits. Hope you’re in a happier, more stable place now.

I’m a ciswoman, but I feel like if I reached that point I’d offer to wrestle my Dad to prove my dominance.

    “This is deadname, my daughter.”

“Forgive him. He only says that because he’s too chicken to fight me.”

Same for me and my bio-fam in reverse as a trans woman.

Also, love to all my Cis-ters who are are out there shutting this down. ❤️

But she is wearing female attire and some makeup. Not sure when the guy in front has to do with anything.

Fun fact. Most people never know a person is trans.

    Its a manufactured problem.
