I feel like such crap, and a total loser even though I know I shouldn’t. How do you stop yourself from judging yourself based on your age?

Someone put it to me like this once -

You’re going to turn 30. Would you rather be 30 and educated or just 30?

For whatever reason, that stuck with me.

Hey, 28 is a fantastic time to go to school. You’re more mature, you know what you want, you’re not being thrust into making a decision when you’re barely 17.

I really envy people who are able to go back to school later in life (also 28 is still young, you’re doing great either way).

Everyone is navigating their own life in the best way they can and you’re not alone in this. You’re at school to learn and for yourself, no one else can judge you for that.

I’m in the late 30s and would love to get back and study again. Enjoy the opportunity and experience you have!

Learning with peers is a special life experience that’s never too late to get into. In fact the world is changing fundamentally to accommodate this. Just check bootcamps online - it’s one of the fastest growing markets out there. People want/need/like to grow!
