After Republican vice presidential pick J.D. Vance went viral last week for being extraordinarily awkward at a donut shop in Georgia, Democrat Tim Walz had to poke fun at him during a snack stop in Pennsylvania.
Pursuing sweets like whoopie pies and donuts at Cherry Hill Orchards in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Walz slid in a joke while speaking to voters.
“Look at me, I have no problem picking out donuts.”
Why are those people in the Trump campaign so disgusting?
In the article we only have to scroll a little to see the video:
JD Vance trying to order doughnuts
She clearly asked not to be filmed, yet they post the video with her in it.
Note that this is clearly illegal in civilized countries like for instance EU, but I don’t know about USA?Zero protection of personal space, yet stand your ground allow white to shoot black people!?!?
What a fucking shithole country! Not as robust as EU. but we do have privacy laws and if she didn’t sign a release, they’re in trouble for doing that. Unfortunately as we’ve seen, nothing will be done.
I have only seen versions of the clip where her face was blurred. Did they say on tape that they were going to blur her and then didn’t?
I saw versions posted where her face was not blurred after the first one did. Thought that was pretty fucked up. I am willing to bet the blurred one was probably posted by non-conservative media.
I’ve only seen the non blurred version. I assume that was what was first released and then others blurred. Big assumption in my part though.
I saw the unblurred version on national broadcast TV the other day.
What. The. Fuck
Nope, Georgia is a one party consent state and technically the donut shop is public access so it’s legal, but still a complete dick move
She clearly asked not to be filmed, yet they post the video with her in it.
On brand for Republicans not recognizing a woman’s agency or autonomy.
It’s not like staffers from the same campaign working directly under the head guy at the moment assaulted a female army officer or anything, don’t be ridiculous
They posted the unblurred version too and it’s still up.
Yes, that’s what is the problem, and what the article shows.
Goddamn articles quit fucking linking me to goddamn Twitter
Seriously, why are we still using Twitter?
Embarrassing. Especially when government entities insist on Twitter being the primary way they communicate with the public.
To be fair, the BBC trialed a Mastadon account in 2022, but I think the fact that some ex-Tweeters went BlueSky kinda convoluted the exodus.
Because news agencies are so goddamn lazy now, that’s all they do is surf fucking Twitter.
Idiots are addicted. Corporations are addicted.
What, and make them host the video themselves? Hah!
We could always ask politicians to stop posting there…
What’s Twitter?
It’s an old expression for shitting yourself.
Later renamed Xitter the X pronounced as Sh, to reflect relations with authoritarianism like the Chinese leader XI. (Pronounced Shi or Pedo Bear.)It’s street drug, otherwise known to chemists as 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Some white trust fund billionaire got stoned and decided it would be funny to hear the media say a politician said something “on twitter,” so he decided to buy a website and name it that.

1 for the money
2 for the better green
3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
Wait, so you don’t order donuts by first stating your name, then asking every employee in the store who makes eye contact “How long have you worked here”?
OK. Good.
It’s almost like he’s a normal human being. No wonder the Republicans hate him.
Ok. Good.
They didnt get your joke, but I did.
Have an upvote!
Whatever makes sense.
I have been dying to use this line in a donut shop for real but i know inside that if they picked up on what i was doing they’d ‘ok’ me too and i’d probably deserve it.
I don’t want to annoy peeps just tryina work, but… just… I really want to order a bakers dozen of ‘whatever makes sense’
I have picked up doughnuts for the office and other than the one I want, the rest are called “assorted doughnuts”. Guess I could try “whatever makes sense” next time, but it just doesn’t make sense to say that.
They are likely already tired of that.
Yeah I’m probably not even original so it’ll remain an idle daydream where the employees get the joke and everyone claps
I imagine a scene where Vance opens up a donut box like the Pulp Fiction briefcase and there’s an eldrich horror inside.
“This doesn’t make any sense…”
The mad lad did it lol
Well he fucked it up immediately. He didn’t ask for sprinkle stuff or whatever makes sense. Pretty standard requests when donut shopping, I thought??
Well at least he didn’t commit a fucked up fist bump.
Oh. Oh God. He… caught it, because he’s never been around people before
That just made me want pie and donuts.
Whoopie pies aren’t pies, it’s two cookies with frosting between them. Source is I am Pennsylvanian
I kind of like how they’ve realised that against Narcissists and Freaks like Trump and Vance, only taking the high road won’t get you anywhere. You’ve got to throw in roughly 30% piss them off with sass.
Walz: You just brought piss to a shit fight you weird little couch fucker! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4pLbcLrquio
This video takes on a new vibe when you learn that the actor has had several allegations of violence and erratic behavior. The dude lost like half of his brain in a medical issue, somehow survived, and is now a very aggressive drunk. Supposedly beating and choking a woman in his college comedy improv group, calling in a bomb threat on a train, etc…
Pretty funny of Tim.
This guy knows how to talk some shit and it’s exactly what the Dems need to clown on the GOP.
One concern, are whoopie pies donuts? (He also bought apple cider donuts, so it’s all good in the end)
It was meant as “look at me, I can make decisions and choices without a problem, unlike some other guy that can’t even pick out a doughnut”.
I dunno, he didn’t even make hard eye contact with every employee and interrogate them about where they’ve been.
You’d think someone in the room would be like. Hey maybe we film at a more friendly donut shop. Lmao
I like to imagine they spent days going to every donut shop they could find and that was the best interaction they could get on film.
Man. That hurts my soul. Glad I am not him. 😆
I’m trying my best to be impartial but I can’t not notice the main difference is how out of touch one is compared to the other. They live in different worlds.
