GM decided it would be best to remove its oh-so-popular Chevy Bolt from production and to focus instead on its Silverado EV and Equinox EV. For a variety of reasons, including loyal customer outcry, that may not have been the best GM corporate decision ever. However, for anyone now looking to purchase a used Chevy Bolt, the time is ideal to do so.

A used Chevy Bolt is a good vehicle to drive because of its reasonable purchase price, dependable battery-electric drivetrain, battery warranty, perfectly acceptable range, and comfortable styling.

I seriously doubt they couldn’t launch it with a new name, new colors, and fins or whatever. It’s perfect GM logic to focus only on the more-money-than-sense behemoth line.

I still want an electric truck for random work, but I do love my bolt euv. I bought it with the intention of giving it to my kids when they start driving. The only thing I’d change if I could would be the DC charging rates. It charges too slow unless you plan events around charges and then it doesn’t matter.

If the truck prices weren’t so ridiculous because of all the luxury features in them, I’m sure I’d have an electric truck. When I searched for a base model Ford Lightning there were 3 east of the Mississippi and all 3 dealerships wanted $30,000 over msrp for them.
