A Bronx man who was described as a “migrant” and a “shoplifter” by Curtis Sliwa during a live TV beatdown by his Guardian Angels in Times Square last month says he is fighti…
Good for him, I hope he gets his day in court and justice is served. I know NYC was a different place, but I don’t see how any good can come from vigilantism. Was anyone here in the 70s? Is there anything redeeming at all about Guardian Angels?
I know my (Indian) parents told me stories about being afraid of Dotbusters around that time; it seems like the city was just even more racist back then? Or maybe, just more overtly?
Everyone wants to believe that Spiderman, Batman, and The Punisher are out there, but forget one of the main lessons. Only Batman can be Batman. Civilians can’t achieve the same thing.

Ugh, what the fuck. That’s so gross, those dotbusters guys are the same as neo nazis in my eyes, 100% let em eat steel toe boot.
I guess I fell into the vigilante propaganda, didn’t think the guardian angels were bad… but now I do.
