Zoos are pretty depressing places to go. It’s always obvious the animals aren’t enjoying themselves, but there may still be some benefit in animal conservation efforts that zoos bring. Some of those animals could very well go extinct if they were all returned to their original habitats, if they still exist. Zoos may be the least worst option if we’re not going to tackle the issue of habitat destruction.
