    Cirrhosis is from hormones, esp. tblockers that tend to be hard on the liver (which regulates hormones). Prob should stay away from anything that messes with the liver if you are transgender

      It’s the oral estrogen that’s hard on your liver. If you inject or use a patch it’s much easier on you.

    From another article:
    “Researchers also studied the five-year outcomes among all transgender and cisgender patients with cirrhosis. Interestingly, despite the differences in the two groups, the number of possible negative outcomes of cirrhosis – liver failure, liver transplant and liver cancer, as well as death, by any cause – was the same.”

    I’m guessing that since most trans people are regular patients to some degree, they are more likely to take early preventative measures.
