The Lone Star State has seen a recent surge in small-scale solar development. Grid instability could push more residents to consider adoption.
Now the utility companies find new ways to eliminate competition from small producers (rooftop solar) like everywhere else.
Are there examples of this happening? First I’ve heard of this. Also I would figure rooftop solar is a great way to reduce costs for utilities while simultaneously not lowering rates by a penny.
Absolutely. Here’s a link to the first article I could find about it happening in several states. https://www.energysage.com/blog/net-metering-going-away/

Very cool: New England states kicking ass, per capita, despite less sun!
I see 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 16th best per capita!
