Hi, new here to this instance. Also first post on Lemmy, I guess? Sorry if this is the wrong place. There was no “games”-community here, and I wanted to share with the local instance.
Anyway, wanted to recommend some games I’ve played recently that are somewhat “furry” in their themes.
- Pseudoregalia A really fun N64 inspired metroidvania where you play as a goat-lady who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and optional costumes to earn. It’s great!
- Corn Kidz 64 A really fun N64 inspired collect-a-thon where you play as a goat-kid who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and… Uh… They sound really similar now that I write it out, but they’re real fun.
- FUGA: Melodies of Steel Tactical RPG where you control children in a big-ass tank. It takes place during “”“World War 2"”" and sports perma-death for the children. Really dark, but really good too. Sequel recently came out too.
We do have !videogames@pawb.social but not too many things get posted there. Might be a better spot for future posts.
But for more furry games:
-
Nine Sols came out recently. It features a mix of cyberpunk and taoism, and plays as if Sekiro became a metroidvania. Almost everything can be parried, with a focus on generating temporary damage that you can make permanent with a special attack. It’s difficult, amazingly fun, and also has some fairly gory parts, so if you’re squeamish you probably don’t want to play it. Here’s the trailer.
-
Tribal Hunter is about vore and size change. Putting that out in front, because I know that can definitely turn people away. However, it’s just used as a mechanic, making it so that you can hit harder when you’re bigger, you’re more nimble when you’re smaller, and digesting food regains health. It’s a side-scrolling beat-'em-up, and also has a pretty great soundtrack too. Here’s the trailer.
-
Tunic is a game about learning about a world, and doing so by trying to understand the game’s language and manual. It plays a lot like an older Zelda game, but while you can get to some newer areas with items you collect, the real progression is the knowledge you gain as you go forward. It’s unfortunately a game you can only play for the first time once, and it’s one of those games where you want to go in without spoilers. Here’s the trailer.
-
Hollow Knight is probably a game everyone knows by now, but in case you don’t, it’s metroidvania Dark Souls with bugs. The game can be finished with some effort, but completely clearing the game for achievements is something for masochists. It’s got a load of things to do and explore, and it’s even got a sequel that’s coming
any dayweekyearat some point. Here’s the trailer.

Those are all excellent. Well, can’t speak for Tribal Hunters, but the others are fantastic!
I didn’t find the community at first when just searching for “games”. I guess I needed to be specific with “video games”. Thank you though :)
Just an fyi, but you responded to your own post instead of user @kovukono@pawb.social comment.
I tagged them so they should have a reason to check back manually if they see the notification!
Thanks!
Oh god, I’m such a dingus. Thank you.
Thanks for these recommendations! I’ve been meaning to play Fuga for a while.
The trailer for the Big Catch looks really good - you play as an anthro bun thing. Clearly inspired by PS2 era platformers.
Oh I just started playing that a few days ago! That was really fun! Thanks for the recommendation again
Do you mean you played the demo for the Big Catch? I need to try it out myself :3
Correct! The demo is HUUUGE too. Real fun
Sounds great - I might try it out later in which case!
If you have a steam deck, I can recommend it there. Ran like a dream!
I do actually! Glad to hear it runs well - I’ll try it out soon :3
