@gabe@literature.cafe you may be hitting the dead server check from being down too long. same thing happened with my selfhosted instance.
as far as i know other servers need to manually mark you as alive. lemmy doesn’t seem to do that automatically (when you start federating back up)
(just in case the other message doesn’t federate in, here it is from my non-lemmy account. this instance is also dealing with a migration so this might not go through as well, aaaah)

@gabe@literature.cafe just re-read the PR (https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/3427) it seems like it’ll fix itself in about a day so my “manually mark you as alive” part might be wrong.
i just jumped to the jankiest assumption because lemmy is prone to those.
Hmmm maybe! I’m just concerned cause we were on an old version before, so I’m just scared. I’ll give it a day or two before fucking anything up.
