Still needs some design corrections because I just didn’t know how to properly do 3D print and industrial design but it works!
I love the braided cables going up to the monitor. That is a rad aesthetic, much cooler than ribbons.
Hey thanks! I think I still need to change the red cables with black ones but I’m happy with how it turned out :)
So cool!
Thanks you :)
Thank you for sharing it here!
I’m overwhelmed with all the positive feedback, I’m really glad I shared it! :)
That’s incredible. Beautiful work
Thank you very much :)
that is freaking awesome
Thanks! :)
That’s wicked cool.
Haha thank you!
This looks so cool! Like the nuclear launch suitcase XD
The nuclear football is not a computer.
It contains the codes and procedures to order a strike, but it is not a computer.
According to sources from within the white house, in the 1980s it contained four items:
- A black book of retaliatory options
- A book listing classified site locations
- A manilla folder with eight or ten pages staples together giving a discription of the procedures for the Emergency Alert System
- A card with authentication codes
There is a small antenna protruding near the handle of the briefcase, which some believe means that there is communications equipment inside the case as well.
…
I mean, yeah, the computer looks really cool!
Weren’t the launch codes 00000 for the longest time?
And nearly weights as much haha thanks!
nice work. grid keyboards get bonus points from me
Thanks! :)
That’s pretty sick I love the design on the cover!
Thank you! glad to hear that :)
This looks super badass. Is it comfortable to type on though?
Hey thanks! I was also worried about the comfort but it’s surprisingly much more comfortable than it looks. The keyboard seat is about 5cm) 2inches) tall. While typing I put my palms on two sides of two griffins so that provides a nice resting place. Tried typing for about an hour on it and it’s more or pess comfortable. Still not great if the table you’re using is already high since your arms will bend too much upwards but on my lap it’s good.
Did you do the bas-relief design yourself? Either way superlative work!
Hey thanks! I did the design but the relief itself is made of different 3D scans that I found on sketchfab, no it’s more of a collage :)
