China now has the largest fleet in the world by hull count.

They’re still in the process of building up their carrier fleet but it will be able to match the Pacific fleet within the next decade.

I think any discussion on which fleet could destroy the other would be irrevocably tainted by jingoism and the fact that there hasn’t been a serious naval engagement in eighty years, but the main point is that this weird idea people have that the US Navy is the undisputed king of the ocean is the kind of arrogance that has been punished countless times in history.

The Pacific fleet? The US has 12 of those.

My guy the U.S. Army also has more ships than the USN by hull count.

There wouldn’t even be a fight.

No, it has seven active “fleets.” All of which would obviously be a fraction of the size of the Chinese navy, so only a real dumbass wannabe pedant with absolutely no clue at all would try to bring it up as a point.

Even numbers are assigned to Atlantic/Eastern waters, odds are assigned the Pacific/West. One of the “fleets” is a cyber warfare command.

Collectively all the ships assigned to either area will be understood as Pacific or Atlantic fleet, at least outside of areas where precision is a necessity.

It’s pretty embarrassing you’d call out twelve given that the current highest numbered fleet is that cyber command at 10, but that’s pretty standard behavior for jingoist morons so it’s not surprising.

Yes, warning ignorant morons not to be complacent in their military dominance as a totalitarian state builds up its military is dictator dick sucking, well reasoned.

I suppose I should congratulate your younger self on overcoming its handicaps and learning how to breathe, that must have been hard for you.
