I actually kind of wondered why they went the cloning route. It’s a common sci-fi trope but they don’t always explain it well.
For example, the Asgardians seemed pretty militarist-by-necessity, it would have been interesting if it was a response to war casualties or just the easiest way to make new space colonies or whatever.
