• I’m not sure if you’re purposefully ignoring or just ignorant to the research that has demonstrated that having access to gender reaffirming care significantly reduces risk of suicide in kids and teens. By banning these treatments, right wing legislatures are directly responsible for a rise in trans people dying.

        • I do suggest that you read up on the history of how the Nazis got to power and how they built up to the extermination camps over time. You seem to be missing the nuances behind every single comment you’ve interacted with in this thread and I’d assume it’s because you have absolutely no historical context. Or maybe you’re just arguing in bad faith. Either way, the GOP has trans kids’ blood on their hands because of their policies. Genocide or not.

Culture: the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.

LGBT people are a social group. They have a distinct culture and history. Not knowing this is just ignorance on your part.

When a complex topic such as genocide is brought up, the context informs how it is defined in the conversation. Language is fluid and words have different definitions depending on their usage.

Banning gender affirming care and forcing detransitioning is a form of, or precursor to, genocide depending on your definition. As mentioned earlier, LGBT people are a social group with a distinct culture and history.

I’m not.tying child rape to trans rights. I said in literally the next sentence that the right accuses trans people of being groomers and pedophiles. All other things from that paragraph taken into consideration shows that the right could easily use and manipulate our already unjust and corrupt criminal system to justify the death penalty for trans people. Florida is a strong case for the rights attempts at genocide.

A lot of the cases cited would affect children and adults alike. You shifted the focus to children and I responded to that. The Florida laws affected gender affirming care for adults too, for example.

Most americans do not support anti trans legislation.

If you’re voting republican, you’re voting against your friend and you support genocide, whether you accept it or not. I’m not going to dickride democrats but they’re at the very least not trying to push this garbage

There literally are people saying that we need to round up and shit people. A lot of them. In those exact words. Here. Since you apparently missed it the first time I linked it. My own family are the type of people to say that. Their church is full of people that say that. I know many people that say trans people should be mass executed. And there are a litany of examples online showing just that. Violence against trans people has exploded since trump took office. It’s real and it’s already resulted in deaths.

You’ve clearly, maliciously, intentionally misrepresented the link between child sex crimes and accusations against trans people. Unless you live under a rock, there’s no doubt you’ve personally encountered this rhetoric online, through mainstream media, or in person. I’m not saying something that isn’t well understood by plenty of people. Your own chosen party is responsible for this connection existing.

You’re willfully ignorant of the politicians and party you support. You’re lying to yourself to the detriment of others and if you give even half of a shit about trans people or other marginalized groups you would stop voting for them. You’re a pedantic hypocrite who’s unwilling to face reality and it’s pathetic. Be the person your trans friend thinks you are.
