As the UI is not open source, I don’t think it is a topic which belongs here.

There are so many resources on what to pick as first distro. I do not understand why people don’t check those out first …

What I did see only at a second glace are those arrows which were added in narrow mode:

I’m everytime amazed how good the adwaita ui looks

I assume it’s rather to improve the ability to cross compile Gnome applications so they can run on macOS.

Looks pretty cool. Has anyone experience how well pen and touch works together on Gnome? Is eg touch deactivated when the pen is active?

But it’s a good starting point. Better than inventing everything from the scratch.
