Crazy Fucking Videos@lemmy.world•In 2008, Donald Trump was asked "What do you think of Bill and Hillary Clinton?"English
71·12 hours agoTrump was a democrat at the time, likely still is personally, he always said if he ran for president though he would run as republican because it’s easier.
For people with no morals, what they personally would like to live under has no bearing on what they would subject other people to.
The chat bot just assumes it’s in the context of active war. Not that there isn’t even a war. There are no active combatants or “effectively surrendering” combatants. There is just people accused of a crime they may, or may not, be guilty of… and missiles.
Even if it was in the context of a war it would be a crime, but there isn’t even that context. It’s murder, arguably worse than war crime, it’s crime, and one of the worst crimes there is.
What does it say about stealing boats? Again without the context of being in a war…

17·13 hours agoI have to assume as a close friend of becky, that still hung out with her post-transition, that must have been something becky was ok with. Alot of older trans are not very sensitive about getting it all absolutely correct. And especially when their old name is the one they are famous/well-known by.
Plus it was written in a timeline of their life and post-transition switches to they. It may not be how younger trans have setup the rules to work, but it doesn’t strike me as something that becky would have had a problem with.
Hehe yeah, the atoms of the separate fingers are closer than the atoms making up each finger, while I like the concept they were going for, they have accidentally made the fingers literally ‘closer than’ touching.
I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I think it might be escaped convicts riding escaped zoo animals.
Yeah, my sister was pretty reluctant at first, she is ACE and wanted to support the boycott, but then when the game was basically a slap in the face to rowling, and rowling was trying to tank the game by tweeting that buying the game still supported her anyway, we took that as meaning that she actually wasn’t making residuals on it or she would have just shut her mouth and raked in the money like normal.
I played the game in VR myself, but my sister played it flat screen. We both enjoyed the game. It is definitely very “videogamey” but, been playing videogames for over 30 years, so that is nothing new. The parts that were new to us were worth the parts that weren’t.
Ah, I should probably mention that I played it in VR with motion controls, so combat was alot more fun than what the flat version of the game probably did. And just riding a broom or looking around at the really detailed environments(those that were) was worth it being very videogamey otherwise.

But hogwarts legacy is actually a really good game, the whole problem was that it might lead to jk rowling getting more money. Though they never did clarify if she got a cut or a flat fee that would have already been paid. Either way, this should nullify that, but the team that made the game did a great job, and made it more in-line with the spirit of the books instead of the author. Went specifically against her current wishes. The trans inclusion and positivity was pretty well done. Even if it was put in to spite her, they didn’t draw attention to it, it just is there, and no one bats an eye.
Edit: I should mention that I played it in VR, I can’t speak to what the game is like without VR. But I really enjoyed it. UEVR with a motion controls mod, there is also a voice casting mod, but I didn’t personally go that route.

Yeah, it’s a pretty awesome game. Basically a bunch of voice actors tried to figure out a way to make a game that included over 100 all main cast voice actors. Pretty much every voice actor you can think of is in it, and has a large role.

Videos@lemmy.world•Elon Musk’s Optimus Robot shuts down after reproducing the gesture of its human operator removing their headset [00:05]
9·7 days agoI think it hitting the table was after the operator thought they set it to idle so they could remove the headset. Like basically since the robot is “no longer mimicking their actions” they don’t have to worry about where they are moving their hands anymore.

Videos@lemmy.world•Elon Musk’s Optimus Robot shuts down after reproducing the gesture of its human operator removing their headset [00:05]
13·7 days agoIt could, if it was told to. It’s likely there is an idle or autonomous mode the operater was supposed to set it to before taking off the headset. Instead it was left in “replicate every action the operator streams to you mode” until the stream abruptly cut off while the robot wasn’t in a balance point. It’s possible the robot normally has an amount of delay/wait time when the signal is lost before reverting to some failsafe state. But since the signal was cutoff while it was flailing it’s arms above it’s head, that’s alot of weight moving significantly above it’s center of gravity and suddenly stopping with no compensatory movement offset of any other part of it’s body.

6·7 days agoIt’s likely there was an “idle” script the operator was supposed to trigger before making the swap.

Fair, I am probably using it wrong, hehe. I definitely am picking up quite a few names and occasionally socialising. For me it’s just the current platform nerds are socialising on until this one gets too popular/ruined and we have to move again.
