Ok, I see your point. I’m new to communities like this. Thanks for clarification!

I didn’t spam. I just shared my articles.
And wrote this last message with an apology if my posts were considered spam.
And I invited writers for the writing challenge.
Thanks for reading it before accusing of spam anyways…cheers!
There is nothing shady about the prize lol!
Crazy stuff haha! XD
I’m sorry, but that is not true. Sending a message to a large number of people is not spam just by itself. Spam is something that is unwanted.
And this last message is a writing challenge prompt for every writer who wants to apply and share a story, and possibly win the prize.
And I shared it on more places to reach more possible writers. That’s it.
I really hope someone appreciates my efforts and joins the challenge!
This world really is a strange place! :)
This is a writing challenge, why is it spam?

Ok, thanks for the feedback!

Ok, thanks for your feedback!
I will change my approach to all of this.

What exactly made so much people downvote the article? :)

Well, I’m sorry if you feel that way. I think it is a really good text with nice messages if you understand them 🙂

I don’t understand what the problem is, I have the artistic right to style it as I like, I guess.

What is your problem? 😂✌️

That’s a total fiasco according to the votes!
I’m working on a big article on this theme to clarify the aspects of this topic.
Stay tuned!
:P

It is an online publication, based on medium.
There is no niche. Publication accepts real life stories, essays, poems, any industry insights, taboo talk… Only requirement is that it is a human written story. It can be fiction as well, although I prefer non-fiction.
I encourage raw storytelling, authenticity, and honesty.
By struggle, I mean more about being seen, spreading the news, and promoting the publication from scratch in this digital world which is full of content.
But numbers are going up, and more and more readers and writers are joining.
So far there are authors from Croatia, South Africa, USA, South Wales, India, Turkey, …
Future plans are to expand beyond medium.
I’m starting with a promotion in two weeks.
Making some video material!

How do you find new readers for your Substack account?

And just one more thing. When I wrote this article, my earnings for December were 0.56$
Today, 19 days later, my total earnings are 3.93$
I hope to earn a little bit more this month to cover the monthly subscription! :D

More traffic on Substack? How is that possible? I mean, I didn’t try it, but does it also have its own distribution system?
And what platform do you use now?

I think not, as far as I can see, you can edit your header and banner, not many options are offered, but I’m not sure
I don’t have Substack or Ghost, I only use Medium and share friend links to those articles on social media and online communities
It depends. It is good to have this distribution system, but don’t rely solely on it.
Let’s say for article like this, which I shared on several places outside Medium - external traffic referrals are 60% and above.
Some traffic comes from algorithms and internal distribution system, some from email subscribers and followers, some from shares, but what can really improve your traffic in terms of reads and engagement is reading other’s work and engaging with the articles you find good and interesting.
Participating in writing challenges is also a great way of boosting activity. Since it is a reader fund platform, it is a sort of hybrid between blog and social media.
So I can say, depending on my activity and efforts, the numbers will change accordingly.
And be sure to connect with real people, since there are a lot of bots, which I wrote about in a few articles.
Analytics is their own. I doubt you can integrate anything here.
I think there is no problem with incorporating various kinds of content in your article. I only put photos and You tube videos sometimes.
When you hit publish, you can choose to publish or schedule for later
I don’t know if there is more users using the desktop version or the mobile app. As I said, for the traffic is really good to engage with other writers.
I have some that I really appreciate. Some are poets, some write essays, some are professionals in certain fields of work and write about it, and some are here to heal.
Getting to know real authors from all around the world with unique voices is such an awesome feeling, and the benefits of connections like this are a lot. Not just personal, but it also moves the algorithm, I guess.
What I want to say is, it is better to have 50 real, active followers and readers, than 1000 empty ones, just numbers.
I hope I offered some answers!
I will listen to your advice!
No bad intentions from me, cheers!
Just a noob in communities :D
