nah the patch notes were pretty similar to PoE patch notes. identify mechanical issues with the game and attempt to solve them with numerical nerfs. dont add anything new or fun, dont increase build variety, dont actually solve any of the identified issues, just make everyone’s gameplay feel worse

the only difference is that PoE is actually a good and fully developed game, D4 is not

They increased build variety by nerfing vulnerable and buffering nearly every other offensive ability. I’m a sorc and the buffs to cold and frozen dmg offset the nerf to vulnerable. You don’t want variety. You want your broken build back so you can power level. Rush to beat the content then complain about lack of content.

These ‘articles’ that just end up being reading and writing about other peoples reddit and Twitter posts are so garbage.

Who do they quote in the article? “U/pm_me_your_shaved_balls”?

Oh he quoted datmodz and asmongold. So this ‘journalist’ just watched some YouTube videos and then made news out of it instead of just reading reddit posts like everyone else.

And then he cited another Forbes article to help bolster the article.

How did we get to become such a joke?

I’m a sorc and the patch made little difference to me. My mana cooldown is slightly longer. Big whoop.

I’m level 69 (nice) with ~150 hours played.

The people crying about the patch were level 100 the first week and wanted to power level their S1 character by sitting idle in a dungeon. Cry moar. Or put the game down.

        Are you playing eternal?

I can see that without malignant hearts on the eternal realm, and the seasonal journey buffs that the nerfs might hit the eternal realm a little harder, but I can’t see why anyone would be playing eternal instead of season 1.

In d3 I never touched eternal characters after seasons started

I think the issue might be that the devs brought seasons out too soon. I wonder if they waited a year or 6 months, when more people where done with their first characters and ready to make a new one, it wouldn’t feel so bad.

If you’re level 69, this must be an eternal character. Try abandoning that character and refilling and see how the game feels.

I was getting malignant hearts right from the beginning of the game when following the new seasonal quest line
